Happy 4th!!
Independence Day is a special day for all Americans and all people. The Declaration of Independence in 1776 marked a change in colonialism and marks the birth of our great nation. However, the best part of Independence Day is not the fireworks, it is the Nathan’s Hot Dog eating contest. I am about to be glued to my television for this event as I am placing bets with my brother in law!! America has a new hero and his name is Takeru Kobayashi!!
Oh yeah, don’t forget to vote!!

Technically, I think his success doesn't count b/c he admitted on TV that he has a strange stomach which is lower than most people's and somehow this affects how much he can eat.
The only reason why i am able to still cheer for him is because I saw on the Food Network how hard he trains for these food contests.
Personally, anyone who can eat over 27 hotdog buns soaked in water, not to mention the hotdogs themselves, is amazing!
